Many of you know that we were a little concerned with Benjamin's speech delay. He has been getting so much better at repeating words back to us and has even starting putting 2 and 3 words together into sentences. We're very happy about this and are working hard at getting the whining to stop and replacing it with "big boy words."
We know Benjamin is smart and that he is capable of speaking and learning. We think it's a stubborness issue or something along those lines. We know he can do it because he knows all the
sounds of the letters in the alphabet and he can now count to 10 all by himself (this was a surprise to me one day- he just did it).

At the beginning of March we enjoyed a week of beautiful spring-like weather and Benjamin LOVED playing outside. Daniel and I spent a lot of time sitting outside watching Benjamin climb the slides, kick a ball around, and dig in the sandbox. Then, almost overnight, winter returned and we've had quite a bit of snow and cold weather. Several times a day Benjamin goes to the front door and asks to go outside and kick the ball. Once he even got my shoes and tried to put them on my feet so we could go outside. We are very anxious for Spring to finally arrive so I can let this boy outside again.

Speaking of balls, Benjamin now loves to play baseball and is really good about hitting balls that are pitched to him with a baseball bat. Jonathan of course loves this and is really excited to get him started in little league sports when he's old enough. Benjamin also LOVES to play bowling on our Wii (that was our birthday gift to each other, thanks to a very nice tax return).
